Coil is a design company formed by electrical engineers from the University of Maryland, College Park.  We design electric guitars, electric basses, and signal-processing equipment (boutique stomp boxes).  Our goal is to make the best-sounding, coolest-looking music gear the world has ever heard or seen.

The electronics are highly innovative and offer an unprecedented degree of tone-shaping.  All the electronics are designed, built, tested, installed, and made here (in College Park, Maryland, USA).  A Korean firm does the woodworking for us (we’re electrical engineers, not woodworkers; they do a much better job than we could).  Finished guitars arrive, we install the electronics, you get killer axe delivered to your door.
